J.T. Ginn Exits Early
Jul 8, 2026 12:12 AM
After holding the Detroit Tigers to just two earned runs across four innings on Tuesday night, the A's decided to pull right-hander J.T. Ginn. There has been no immediate update on his status, but his velocity was noticeably down over those four innings overall.

The one piece of potential good news here is that his changeup, which was sitting at 85.3 mph in the first inning and 85.1 mph in the second was back up to a more normal 88.1 mph in the fourth and final frame.
The rest of his pitch mix did not see the same boost in that inning.
