The Toronto Blue Jays selected shortstop JoJo Parker with the eighth overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of high school. He was considered one of the most promising high school players available in the draft.
Parker didn't suit up in a pro-ball game the summer after he was drafted and was assigned to the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays to begin this season.
So far, he's having a great year to his first season in the minor leagues.
Parker has slashed .273/.415/.485 with a .900 OPS and has hit four doubles and a home run with nine RBIs in nine games. He's also stolen three bases in as many opportunities.
