Catching up on news from Toronto Blue Jays' farm system...

Did you see what happened Tuesday night when the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Jays' Double-A affiliate, met the Portland Sea Dogs? Fans who braved the 35-degree Maine night -- the game's start was delayed due to snow -- saw something they probably never will see again: eight runs scored in an inning without a hit.

The Fisher Cats did that in the second inning, eventually finishing off the frame with 10 runs on one hit. How did they do that, especially since the Sea Dogs didn't make an error?

Here's a recap of how the inning went when 14 batters went to the plate for New Hampshire in the second inning: eight walks, two hit batters, four wild pitches, one sacrifice fly and two strikeouts.

Coincidentally, the Sea Dogs -- the Boston Red Sox affiliate -- scored two runs in the first inning without a hit on two hit batsmen, a wild pitch, a walk, two stolen bases, a fielder's choice, a sacrifice fly and a flyout. They added another run without a hit in the bottom of the second.

The Fisher Cats won 12-7.
