It's the offseason, but Toronto Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker is still coaching.

This week, he was in Connecticut, where he grew up, and spoke to members of the UConn baseball team. He played for the Huskies before the New York Mets made him their seventh-round pick in the 1990 MLB Draft.

A right-handed relief pitcher, Walker made his MLB debut with the Mets in 1995 and went on to play for three other teams. He was with the Blue Jays from 2002-06 before retiring and had a 19-14 record, 4.32 ERA and four saves with Toronto.
