Three-time Cy Young winner Max Scherzer returned to the Toronto Blue Jays this offseason on a one-year deal to help cover the team's injuries to the starting rotation.
The future National Baseball Hall of Famer got the nod for Toronto's Grapefruit League game against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. In 4.2 innings pitched, the eight-time All-Star struck out five batters, walked two hitters and allowed two hits but no earned runs.
Scherzer has made two starts this spring and is yet to allow a run.
