The 2026 World Baseball Classic concluded Tuesday and Venezuela walked away from the international tournament as champions.

Venezuela beat Team USA 3-2.

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Andres Gimenez was the only team representative on Venezuela. He received one at-bat in the championship game.

The Blue Jays recognized Gimenez's accomplishment in the international tournament and shared a post on "X" celebrating the three-time Gold Glove winner's gold medal.
