Brewers Strike First vs. Old Friend in World Series Game 3

Oct 27, 2026 1:00 AM

Sal Frelick was robbed of scoring Garrett Mitchell in the second inning, but chaos on the basepaths allowed for the Milwaukee Brewers to strike first in Game 3 of the World Series.

Jackson Chourio started this game a perfect 2-for-2 off Tampa Bay Rays' Freddy Peralta, and then Jake Bauers drew a walk to put two on with one out.

Christian Yelich's second hit of the game came on the second pitch he saw, and it was hit in the perfect spot to left field where Chourio was able to score.

William Contreras then got in on the fun as a fielding error in right allowed Bauers to score.

Contreras either thought he could stretch it to a double or thought Yelich was going home as well, so he was gunned out at second.

Regardless, it's 2-0 Brewers going into the bottom of the third inning!
