Do you expect the St. Louis Cardinals to be in the playoffs next season?
The St. Louis Cardinals entered this season with outside expectations of being one of the worst teams in baseball due to being in the middle of a rebuild. The Cardinals won't be in the playoffs in October, but they did exceed expectations and currently stand at 76-80 with an opportunity to finish at or slightly above .500 in the final stretch of the regular season. What are your expectations for St. Louis in 2027?

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher on an incredible stretch
The St. Louis Cardinals starting pitching rotation has well exceeded expectations this season. Over the last month-and-a-half, there might not be a pitcher in the National League better than Kyle Leahy. Over his last nine starts, Leahy has second-best ERA in the NL (1.52). This year, his first as a full-time starter, Leahy has a 3.38 ERA and has struck out 105 batters in 117.1 innings pitched across 23 starts.

St. Louis Cardinals better than expected in impressive stat
Entering the season, there were little expectations for the St. Louis Cardinals starting rotation. The rotation featured players moved from the bullpen to starting roles, either in previous seasons or this year, and players on cheap deals with the anticipation of being moved at the deadline as the Cardinals were expected to rebuild. Instead, the starters have generally performed well for St. Louis. Entering Saturday, the Cardinals' starting pitchers ranked 10th in the major leagues and fourth in the National League in starter ERA (3.96). What are your thoughts on how St. Louis' starters have performed this season?

Think Cardinals can make playoff push?
The St. Louis Cardinals are coming off an impressive series win against the New York Yankees, which improved its overall record to 57-58. The Cardinals are unlikely to catch up the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central. St. Louis currently is out of first place by 14.5 games. However, the Cardinals are only four games out of the final wild card spot in the National League. Do you think St. Louis can make a wild card push for the playoffs?

Series against Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers could be just what St. Louis Cardinals need
The St. Louis Cardinals had one of the most dominant wins in recent history against the Chicago Cubs on Friday. The Cardinals beat their National League Central rivals 17-1 and will look to clinch the series win in game two Saturday. Following the series against the Cubs, St. Louis will have a four-game series against another NL Central rival, the Milwaukee Brewers, before closing out the first half of the season with a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves before the All-Star Break. The Cardinals entered Saturday 46-39 with a one-game lead for the final wild card spot in the National League. Could series wins against the Cubs and Brewers give St. Louis the necessary momentum it needs to make a run in the second half following the All-Star Break?

Jurrangelo Cijntje starting to get on solid stretch in Cardinals minor leagues
Switch-pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje had a rough start to his tenure with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. In his first year with the Cardinals after being acquired in a trade that sent 2025 All-Star infielder Brendan Donovan to the Seattle Mariners, Cijntje had an ERA above 5.00 in April and May. From April 9-May 16, Cijntje had allowed at least three earned runs in six-of-seven starts. Since that point, Cijntje has allowed less than three earned runs in three-of-four starts. In his latest outing June 11, the ambidextrous starter struck out six, walked one and allowed two earned runs on five hits in 4.1 innings pitched. He fanned batters both right and left-handed.
