The Chicago Cubs optioned left-handed reliever Luke Little to make way for Matthew Boyd on the 26-man roster. 

Little only appeared in one game for the Cubs, giving up one run on two hits with one strikeout across one inning. He last pitched on April 15 in the ninth inning of a blowout victory against the Philadelphia Phillies. 

The southpaw will now return to Triple-A.
