The San Diego Padres announced that Michael King will start Game 1 against the Chicago Cubs in the Wild Card Round.
The Cubs haven't faced King much over the past two years. The only time they have seen him was back during the 2025 postseason. King struck out the side while allowing one hit across one inning in relief during Game 3.
