The Chicago Cubs have lost another bullpen arm. The Cubs placed Daniel Palencia on the 15-day injured list before Friday's game against the New York Mets due to an oblique strain. 

Palencia is the fourth Cubs reliever to land on the IL over the past week. Phil Maton is on the IL with a knee injury, Hunter Harvey is on the IL with triceps inflammation, and Ethan Roberts is on the IL due to a right middle finger laceration. 

Losing Palencia for an extended time is a big loss for the Cubs. He has yet to allow a run this season and has been the team's best bullpen arm in the early going.
