The Chicago Cubs will have another player playing in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Pete Crow-Armstrong and Matthew Boyd are already confirmed to play for Team USA in the upcoming WBC in March.

Owen Caissie is said to have joined Team Canada for the 2026 WBC.

Getting reps against some of the best pitchers in the sport can only help with Caissie's development as he heads into his first full season in the Major Leagues. So, it's a plus that he is playing for Team Canada.

Caissie only hit .192 with one home run and four RBI in 27 plate appearances in his first taste of the big leagues last season. The Cubs are now hoping their top prospect can take that next step, with Kyle Tucker expected to depart in free agency.
