The Chicago Cubs promoted Tyler Zombro to Vice President of Pitching on Saturday afternoon. Zombro has been with the organization since last season and has quickly gained recognition across the league. 

The Washington Nationals actually pursued him this offseason to be their pitching coach, but the Cubs have given him a bigger role for the 2026 season. He is set to be very involved with Chicago's pitchers throughout the organization. 

This is big news for the Cubs. He is highly regarded across the baseball world and should continue to play a key role in Chicago's pitching development.
