Thursday was pretty rough for Cubs fans for most of the day. A 10-4 loss to the Nationals isn't exactly how you wanted to start the season. But I gotta say, the contract extension for Nico Hoerner kind of cancels out all of the bad.

Pretty strange timing for this to get done after opening day, but really excited to have Hoerner, one of the most beloved and valuable members of the Cubs, under contract long term.

Anyone would trade the game for Hoerner's contract. Productive day!
