The Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears both won postseason games during the 2025 season. This is the first time that both Chicago franchises advanced in the postseason in the same calendar year. 

As we remember, the Cubs defeated the San Diego Padres in the National League Wild Card series back in October. Then, the Bears beat the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round earlier this month. 

So, the future is bright for both Chicago franchises. 

The Cubs just made one of their biggest signings in the team's history by agreeing to a five-year deal with Alex Bregman, and the Bears have found their franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams.
