Cubs have a logjam at catcher. With Ballasteros ready to go for 2026 and needing semi-regular at-bats, maybe the Cubs should trade Miguel Amaya?

Carson Kelly was awesome. He needs to be back. Ballasteros is such a polished hitter, even if he has work to do behind the plate. 

That leaves Amaya as the third catcher and the odd man out. Could be a good piece to swap for pitching since he has so many years of club control left. Anyone who needs catching help would be all in.
