Waldschmidt says, "adios" and walks it off

Ryan Waldschmidt comes in to pinch-hit and sends a "bombazo" over the fence to win the game for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

According to Manager Lovullo, it was a last-minute decision to put in the rookie right-hander for the at-bat.  He left it to his batting coaches and was looking for an answer quickly.

According to Lovullo, the call was made based on Waldschmidt's consistency and on the desire to get on base, since he was only the fourth batter of the inning.

Well, Ryan Waldschmidt came through in the clutch and put one in the W column for them!
