Top of the 2nd Inning

The Los Angeles Dodgers got on the board first.

After Catcher Will Smith drew a leadoff off walk, he advanced to second on a Teoscar Hernandez forceout. Max Muncy then hit a single to left field scoring the Smith from second.

Dodgers 1-0.

Top of the 3rd Inning

Mookie Betts drew a leadoff walk.

Freddie Freeman drew a no out walk directly behind Betts.

Will Smith, the single master of the postseason, returning from injury, hit a single to right field, scoring Betts from second.

Dodgers 2-0.

Bottom of the 3rd Inning

Dodgers get out of a non-threatening jam with a 1-out, double play to put them back at the plate. The Blue Jays look almost lost tonight. Could be a quick series.

Still Dodgers 2-0.

Top of the 4th inning

Blue Jays finally get a breather. A 1-2-3 inning for youngster Yesevage. Jays need some magic, time to step it up if they hope to compete with the behemoths that are the Dodgers.

Bottom of the 5th Inning

Tie ballgame!

Varsho hit a two-run home run to dead center to tie the ballgame.

It's the World Series, folks and we have a brand new game.

2-2 Dodgers and Jays

Top of the 5th Inning

The Jays went to the bullpen to combat the Dodgers' lineup. Seranthony Dominguez, the former Philadelphia Phillies closer, was called in to record the final out.

After a 1-2-3 inning, the Jays keep it tied at 2-2.

Bottom of the 5th Inning

The Dodgers escape trouble after a leadoff single from Springer. A double play and a Guerrero Jr. groundout end the inning. Snell looks poised to come out for the sixth after Dave Roberts challenged him to go further into the games.

Top of the 6th Inning

The game is moving fast. Dominguez put the Dodgers down 1-2-3. Still a tie ballgame. The Jays are sending the kitchen sink at them.

2-2 Dodgers and Jays

Bottom of the 6th Inning

After loading the bases loaded with no outs recorded, the Dodgers pulled Blake Snell and replaced him with Sheehan.

Clement singled to left field with one out making it 3-2 Jays!

Jays 3-2

Still no outs with bases loaded.

Sheehan, with bases loaded, walked in a run. Jays taking control.

Jays 4-2

Bases still loaded with no outs.

Sheehan gives up a no out, bases loaded single to right to Giminez for another run. This game could be out of hand.

Jays 5-2

GRAND SLAM JAYS, Barger with the big hit.

Jays 9-2

Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk hits ANOTHER home run. It's a two run home with two outs.

Jays 11-2

Top of the 7th Inning

Ohtani takes Fisher DEEP! Two-run home run, but maybe too little too late?

The first World Series home run of Ohtani's career:

Jays still up 11-4

Bottom of the 7th Inning

Easy inning for the Dodgers. Heading into the 8th inning down by seven, with an 11-4 deficit. LA needs some magic here.

Jays 11-4

Top of the 8th Inning

Nothing going for the Dodgers in the 8th. Teoscar Hernandez drew a one-out walk but that was the only action for LA. They have three more outs to figure it out.

Jays 11-4

Bottom of the 8th Inning

Barger, after coming in as a pinch hitter, notches a single in his second at-bat of the night. He hit the grand slam earlier. However, that was the only action of the inning.

Jays just three outs away from taking Game 1 of the 2025 World Series.

Jays 11-4

Top of the 9th

Ohtani drew a two-out walk. But it was far from enough. The Dodgers will look to Game 2 to get back on track for the 2025 World Series.

The Jays lead 1-0 in the Series. See y'all back next game!

FINAL: Jays 11-4 Dodgers
