Players frustrated over the signing of Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers will likely trigger a call for a vote on a league-wide salary cap.

But will it make a difference?  The Dodgers have been financially savvy and will operate successfully under new restrictions.

Also, with a cap, there needs to be a floor, and that would be a tough sell for certain owners (who most likely don't invest enough in payroll).

What about a lockout? That is not a realistic scenario. MLB players want to play.

The Bottom line: Fans are frustrated, and the Front office and the owners of the ball clubs are shifting the blame to the Salary cap issue, when really they need to put profits back into payroll, not their pockets.
