I've followed and covered baseball for a long time, and what I love most is the daily journey the sport provides. And one of my favorites through the years as a (sometimes) Tampa Bay area resident is Blake Snell.

He's had some magical moments in the postseason. He's the ONLY pitcher ever to give up two hits or less and strike out nine or more four times in a postseason game.

Will he be that good on Monday night in Game 1 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers? Blake has had some highs and lows in his career, but he's made for this moment. That's why manager Dave Roberts picked him to start the series.

The Dodgers are defending champions, and they're in the Final Four with three teams that are starving for a World Series title. The Brewers have never won, and they've only had one chance ever, back in 1982 when they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Over in the American League, the Seattle Mariners have never even won an AL pennant. They are the only one of the 30 franchise to never play in a World Series. And it's been a long time for the Toronto Blue Jays too, who haven't won a World Series sincer 1993.

The Dodgers have a huge edge in experience, and that starts with Snell.

Game time is 8:08 ET tonight. I'm tuning in. How do you think Snell will do?
