After the Cleveland Guardians' 2025 season came to an end, legendary pitching coach Carl Willis was going to "take some time" to figure out whether he wanted to come back for another season.

Per Cleveland.com's Paul Hoynes, Willis has decided to come back for the 2026 season.

Willis is incredibly important and a key reason why the Guardians routinely have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. From his off-the-field meetings with pitchers about their mechanics or his magical mound visits, Willis' value runs deep in the organization's success.
