Los Angeles Dodgers closer Edwin Diaz, who's in his first year with the defending two-time champions, is heading to the IL. He's set to undergo surgery to clear out loose bodies in his elbow.

Diaz pitched for the Mariners from 2016-18. He was a one-time All-Star with the M's and won the American League Reliever of the Year award. Both the award and All-Star selection came in 2018.
