One of the perennial thorns in the Seattle Mariners' sides is calling it a career.

Closer Ryan Pressly, who pitched for the Houston Astros from 2018-24, announced his retirement in a post on social media that was shared on "X" by The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Pressly had a 3.49 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 49 innings pitched and 12 saves across 51 appearances against the Mariners in his 13-season major league career.
