A one-time Seattle Mariners prospect is heading to the Big Apple.

Right-handed starting pitcher Freddy Peralta was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers to the New York Mets on Jan. 21.

Peralta, a two-time All-Star who led the National League in wins this past season (17-6) originally joined the professional ranks with the Mariners.

He signed with Seattle as an international free agent out the Dominican Republic on April 18, 2013.

Peralda was traded by the Mariners in addition to right-handed pitchers Carlos Herrera and Daniel Missaki to the Brewers in return for first baseman Adam Lind on Dec. 9, 2015.
