Seattle Mariners reliever Gabe Speier to begin rehab assignment with High-A Everett AquaSox

Seattle Mariners left-handed reliever Gabe Speier will go on a rehab assignment with the organization's High-A affiliate, the Everett AquaSox, on Wednesday (May 20).

Speier was placed on the 15-day injured list May 4 (retroactive to May 3) due to left shoulder inflammation.

Speier has a 2.92 ERA this season with 12 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched across 15 appearances.
