Seattle Mariners unveil Mark McLemore, Mike Cameron statue

Before the first of a four-game series against the Athletics on Thursday, the Seattle Mariners opened Legacy Plaza inside the center field gate at T-Mobile Park, featuring a statue of former players Mike Cameron and Mark McLemore holding up the American flag.

The statue represents an image of the two doing the same from a game Sept. 19, 2001, days after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and on the same day Seattle clinched the American League West title.
