Shortstop Starling Caba went 2-for-4 and hit his first home run of the season for lead the Beloit Sky Carp (High-A) to a 9-6 win over Cedar Rapids on Wednesday.
Caba, who was acquired in a 2024 trade for Jesús Luzardo, is batting .467 with a 1.356 OPS to start the season. The Marlins No. 7 prospect is coming off a 2025 in Jupiter where he slashed .222/.335/.278 in 51 games. He stole 50 bases in 78 games between Low-A and Rookie ball in 2024 before being acquired by the Marlins.

- Pensacola Blue Wahoos (Double-A) outfielder Dillon Lewis’ solo home run was the lone bright spot in a 6-3 loss against Biloxi. The Marlins’ No. 11 prospect is coming off a 22 HR, 79 RBI 2025 in the New York Yankees organization before being acquired in the Ryan Weathers trade this past offseason.
- Jared Serna went 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp’s 7-1 win over Norfolk. The game went into extra innings tied 0-0. The Jumbo Shrimp scored seven runs in the 10 to win their fourth game in a row.
- Jupiter’s game against Ft. Myers was postponed to Thursday due to inclement weather. There will be a double-header starting 4 p.m.
