
The Miami Marlins were better than anybody expected them to be in 2025, improving from 62-100 the year before to 79-83 and playing meaningful games in September.
More wins lead to more fans, and higher expectations for the next season.
Therefore, Marlins President of Business Operations Caroline O'Connor is expecting an uptick in attendance for 2026.
“It was an enjoyable year,” O’Connor told Fish Unfiltered on a podcast episode that dropped Monday morning. “We had meaningful games in September. So, really happy for the fans and appreciative of their support through that. So that was great. Going into this year, we are very excited about the team. If you see the sentiment on social media and are watching ticket sales, we’re looking really positive for the 2026 season.”
Miami has struggled to fill seats since it began playing in 1993 as the Florida Marlins, and despite what turned out to be an exciting 2025 campaign, only two teams in baseball drew fewer fans than the Marlins. So it will be a difficult task, even if the on-field product delivers
