As spring training is around the corner, ESPN doesn't believe in the Miami Marlins' progression from last season. In a "way-too-early" rankings, they ranked 21st on the list. The main reasoning was concerns with the bullpen and worries about the potential heavyload on Sandy Alcantara's shoulders.
The Marlins are banking on improvements from within, but spring training will tell more about where the bullpen stands as a whole, especially after the offseason addition of free agent Pete Fairbanks.
