On a team that features new closer Pete Fairbanks and prized hitting prospect Owen Caissie, reliever John King was named by MLB.com as a Miami Marlins’ newcomer making a strong impression.

King has been a consistent arm in the bullpen so far. The 31-year-old reliever allowed only one run on two hits over 11 innings spanning 12 outings this season.

The Marlins signed the seven-year veteran at the beginning of Spring Training as a comeback candidate. The southpaw pitched in St. Louis and Texas.
