Nightmare Season for Fairbanks Continues

The Miami Marlins coughed up a 7-4 lead Monday in the series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks, losing 8-7, and once again, closer Pete Fairbanks had to exit early because of an injury.

Fairbanks' ERA is now 6.31, and this may have been his final appearance in a Marlins uniform after he signed a one-year deal this offseason.
