With their first road series win on the line, the Miami Marlins turn to Sandy Alcantara for the rubber match against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
The Marlins ace has struggled against the Dodgers throughout his career. Alcantara has a career 2-5 record with a 9.57 ERA (39 ER/36.2 IP) in eight starts against the Dodgers from 2019-25.
His best start against the Dodgers came all the way back on Aug. 27, 2022, when he tossed a complete game with one run allowed on six hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts in a 2-1 win. He became the Marlins first Cy Young Award winner that year.
