Graham Pauley hit his second home run of the minor league season to lead the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to a 7-6 win over Memphis in extra innings on Thursday. Jacksonville scored first on a wild pitch in the first inning to go up 1-0. Memphis then took the advantage with the long ball. Leo Bernal hit a solo home run in the second inning and Joshua Báez hit a two-run homer in the third to put the Redbirds up 3-1. Memphis added another run on a groundout in the fourth and Nelson Velázquez homered in the sixth to put the Redbirds up 6-1. Jacksonville struck back with a pair of runs in the eighth inning and Matthew Etzel tied the game on a two-run homer in the ninth to force extra innings. After Pauley’s heroics, the Redbirds were only able to muster a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th.
