After the Miami Marlins signed right-handed relief pitcher Fete Fairbanks in free agency, one of the exciting factors was his teaming up with right-handed relief pitcher Tyler Phillips. Both are known to have intense characters on the mound. However, there's history between them, playing in the Texas Rangers' minor league system, specifically with the Down East Wood Ducks in 2019.
Fairbanks mentioned that Phillips didn't use to slap himself before entering a game, which has become a new ritual of his and grew popular last season. It should be fun seeing them share a locker room.
