Oneil Cruz continued his hot Grapefruit League hitting by reaching base in all three plate appearances, and the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the visiting Minnesota Twins 6-2 on Thursday at Bradenton, Fla.

The center fielder went 2 for 2 with a double, a walk, and a run scored. Through four spring training games, Cruz is 6 for 10 with a double, four runs scored, and three stolen bases.

First baseman Spencer Horwitz hit a run-scoring double in the first inning and an RBI single in the fourth inning for the Pirates (5-2). Shortstop Nick Gonzales was 3 for 4 with a stolen base. The Pirates are 11 for 11 on stolen base attempts this spring.

Non-roster catcher Shawn Ross hit a two-run home run to break a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the eighth.

Wilber Dotel (2-0) was the winning pitcher, and Joe La Sorsa got his first save.
