

Veteran reliever Chris Devenski has agreed to a minor-league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates with an invitation to major-league spring training camp. Devenski, 35, had no record and a 2.16 ERA in 13 games with the New York Mets last season. The right-hander has pitched in 316 games over 10 MLB seasons with the Houston Astros, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels, Tampa Bay Rays and Mets, going 27-22 with eight saves and a 3.91 ERA.
