The 2025 Texas Rangers boasted one of the best rotations in franchise history, posting an MLB-best 3.41 ERA and ranking fifth in bullpen ERA at 3.62. Anchored by veteran aces Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi, the staff was guided by pitching coach Mike Maddux, whose expertise played a key role in the team’s success.
With Maddux departing this offseason to join the Angels, the Rangers have promoted Jordan Tiegs, last year’s bullpen coach, to lead the pitching staff. Tiegs, in his first year on the big league staff in 2025, will look to continue the momentum and keep Texas’ rotation among baseball’s elite in 2026.
