The NBA owners will have a vote later this month that is expected to be the first steps in expansion, with Seattle and Las Vegas expected to be the most likely candidates to earn teams.

There's been speculation that NBA superstar LeBron James and the ownership group he's a part of, Fenway Sports Group LLC, could potentially be involved in the ownership group for Vegas' expansion bid.

James has expressed his desire in the past to own an NBA team and has said he's interested in owning a team in Vegas.

According to a report on "X" from the Athletic, Fenway Sports Group is not currently interesting in being involved in NBA ownership.

The Fenway Sports Group are currently the principal owners of the Boston Red Sox (MLB), Liverpool (European soccer) and Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL).
