Franklin Arias named Boston Red Sox minor league player of the year

The Boston Red Sox has seen great returns from its farm system over the past several seasons, and there's one player that seems to be knocking on the door of the major leagues.

Shortstop Franklin Arias is a player that will likely contribute at the major league level next season. He slashed .323/.400/.557 in 117 games at the Double-A and Triple-A levels and was named the franchise's minor league player of the year by Baseball America.
