The Boston Red Sox were unable to retain multi-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion Alex Bregman this offseason, but his likely replacement has been a standout performer this spring.

The Red Sox acquired third baseman Caleb Durbin (and shortstop Andruw Monasterio, and second baseman Anthony Seigle) in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers on Feb. 6 in return for left-handed pitchers Kyle Harrison, Shane Drohan and second baseman David Hamilton.

So far this spring, Durbin has slashed .400/.514/.600 with a 1.114 OPS in 12 Grapefruit League games and has hit four doubles and a triple with seven RBIs.
