White Sox clubhouse vibes are so high

All of the locker room content after the White Sox clinched their playoff spot was so entertaining. It really makes you appreciate this team, the level of fun they have playing the game and how much they genuinely enjoy being around one another. And weirdly, it gives me confidence in them to give this postseason their best shot. The White Sox aren't supposed to make any real noise, but when you have a team full of young guys who love to party, love to celebrate and, most importantly, love to win, those clubhouse vibes make you realize anything is possible for them.Sep 25, 2026

Colson is going to get the record

Colson Montgomery tied the single-season strikeout record on Thursday. So unless, by some miracle, he doesn't strike out a single time against the Colorado Rockies this weekend, he's going to break the record. It doesn't seem like Kyle Schwarber will catch him, either. The Philadelphia Phillies star had more strikeouts than Colson for a majority of the year, but he'd have to have a really bad weekend to take the record from him. Perhaps it's small and ultimately meaningless, but it's unfortunate to see how some of Montgomery's struggles have led to a spot in history that nobody wants.Sep 25, 2026

White Sox magic number

With yesterday's win and some results landing in their favor across the rest of the league, the Chicago White Sox now have a playoff magic number of four (4). The AL Central is still very much up in the air, with the White Sox one game behind the Cleveland Guardians and trying to make up ground over the final week of the regular season. But Chicago has also created some breathing room in the Wild Card race, building a 3.0-game cushion over the teams chasing them with six to play. Those teams are the Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros, and the White Sox also hold the tiebreaker over Toronto. That makes the math relatively simple. If the White Sox go 4-2 over their final six games, they will clinch a postseason berth regardless of what happens elsewhere. Even if Houston wins out, there would be no way for the Astros to catch Chicago. The division remains the bigger prize, but the White Sox have at least put themselves in a position where their path to October is firmly in their own hands.Sep 21, 2026
