Finally some good news in Yankee land

According to Aaron Boone, Cody Bellinger is expected to go on a rehab assignment on Thursday and should play a couple games down there before finally returning to the Yankees lineup for the first time since July 25th.

Boone revealed Max Fried’s injury as a low level inflammation in his elbow after feeling some discomfort after his last start against the Mariners and a couple days later. Boone insinuates that it’s a minor injury, says that he might miss the minimum 15 days and also noted that “Hopefully, keep it a smaller issue, which is the hope.”

We’ve finally also gotten some major news about Aaron Judge as Boone said that Judge will beging hit hitting progression this week after doing some “swing related stuff in the pool” over the last couple of days. Judge has also been playing catch and running in the meantime recently without being able to start hitting yet

The only Giancarlo Stanton update we got from Boone is that he’s towards the end of his running program but there’s no timeline to his return yet

Overall, this is excellent news for the Yankees as they’ve been bit by the injury bug all season and could use there guys back. The offense is sound asleep, the pitching staff has been spotless, and it would be great to have both of them going at the same exact time when it matters most coming into October
