The Yankees are within shouting distance of the AL East lead. It is time for Aaron Boone to put the best players on the field -- and right now that is not Anthony Volpe.

Jose Caballero should be playing shortstop right now. Volpe has struggled offensively and defensively all season, minus a couple good days in Chicago against the lowly White Sox.

Loyalty is great, and Boone has backed his players since he took the job, but right now, it is about winning games and Caballero is the better option at shortstop.
