Trent Grisham was just placed on the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain. The corresponding move was recalling Jasson Dominguez from AAA

I’m assuming that Cody Bellinger stays in left field, Spencer Jones is now the everyday centerfielder, but what do they do in right field? Will Heliot Ramos play RF against lefties and Jasson play RF against righties?

Now that we're getting a better picture of each team in the American League East, where do you think the New York Yankees will finish in the division?

Honestly, I think their ceiling is second, right now. The Blue Jays just look that good.

With Kyle Schwarber getting 5/150 from the Phillies, Cody Bellinger's value may have just increased, particularly in terms of years. Now, a 7/200 type of deal feels possible for Bellinger, and I'm not sure the Yankees would match that.

Thoughts?

Suddenly seeing this surface online.

What do you think? Is Austin Wells tipping pitches? I'd like to see more examples.

The Yankees officially extending a qualifying offer (about $22 million) to Trent Grisham. This is going to be interesting to see if he takes it or not, but if he leaves, the Yankees get a 4th-round pick as compensatory.

It's not great but they must have had conversations saying Trent wants a multi-year deal. I can't see them extending the offer unless they were told Grisham isn't accepting it. With Cody Bellinger and Kyle Tucker headlining this free agency and having Judge, Stanton, Dominguez, and Spencer Jones, there is no room for Grisham in 2026.

The Yankees have had a lot of unfair claims thrown their way and one of them was the fact they were unable to develop solid pitchers in their farm system. Now, we can officially close the door on that (even though the narrative should have been silenced years ago).

Cam Schlittler, Luis Gil, & Clarke Schmidt are just three examples of what they did recently. However, they also have pitchers like Jordan Montgomery and Luis Severino on other teams as well.

Now, this puts the Yankees in a better position to have cheap options for the starting rotation for the next 5 years to make decisions on keeping Cody Bellinger and going after guys like Kyle Tucker and Murakami this offseason
