Grade the Player: Joel Embiid
Welcome to our "Grade the Player" series, in which we will be letting you guys decide what grade each player on the Philadelphia 76ers should get for their play so far this season. In this edition, we will be looking at Joel Embiid. Stats: 21.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.3 BLK on 44.3% FG and 25.9% 3PT Per 36 (Important to note given his restricted minutes this season): 29.0 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 3.7 APHHG, and 1.7 BLK Overall, things could be going a lot worse for him this season, but it's still not great to see him struggle as he has at times. It's also been difficult to keep him on the court, though he's been improving on that lately as well. Our grade: B

Could the Sixers go 6-0 over their next 6 games?
Though the Sixers were facing some struggles to consistently win games, they finally went on a little bit of a winning streak before LeBron James put an end to it. That said, their next six games are against the Pacers, Hawks, Knicks, Mavericks, Nets, and Bulls. Realistically, if they play as they should, the Knicks are the only team that they could lose to, but they're still beatable. Could we see them go on a six-game winning streak and soar to the top of the Eastern Conference?

Is Jared McCain being disrespected?
After a rough start to the season, Jared McCain has been fantastic over the last couple of weeks and has looked a lot like the player that we saw last season. While this is very encouraging and should make Sixers fans very happy, there seems to be a level of disrespect brewing from Nick Nurse. McCain is playing just 18 minutes per game this season, as opposed to VJ Edgecombe's 34.6, which is simply unacceptable when he's been so efficient as of late. He also didn't play a single minute in the third quarter against the Lakers, and the Sixers lost the lead over that stretch. Do you think he's being disrespected, or does Edgecombe just bring that much more to the table when he's on the court?

Tyrese Maxey is Playing WAY Too Much
Tyrese Maxey just played a season-LOW 29 minutes against the Washington Wizards. While this seems like a good thing, 29 minutes being his lowest amount played this season is ridiculous. This is especially true when considering that he played 52 minutes in his last game, so he realistically shouldn't have played more than 25 minutes against Washington. Yes, he was dominant, scoring 35 points, but they would have still pulled through with a win without him playing as much. Nick Nurse will need to continue to rest him as much as possible, or else this could get ugly very quickly. Maxey's been very durable throughout his career, but there are only so many minutes that a player can play.

Is Joel Embiid's Career as good as Over?
This Joel Embiid situation is becoming more than frustrating as now it's on the brink of being terrifying. It's appearing that Embiid's body simply won't let him play, and it truly could be close to the end of his career. For someone who has dominated for so long and been the sole light of this franchise at certain times, it would be crushing to see him go. Do you think he has another season or two, or will this be his last?
