Logistics of Bucks draft swap

With the NBA Draft Lottery tomorrow, here's how Milwaukee's pick swap with New Orleans and Atlanta works: - Atlanta gets the best of NO/MIL lottery picks - Milwaukee gets the worst of NO/MIL lottery picks - New Orleans' pick has the seventh-best odds: 29.3% chance at top-four and 6.8% chance at No. 1 overall - Milwaukee's pick has the 10th-best odds: 19.9% chance at top-four and 3.0% chance at No. 1 overall - If New Orleans jumps into the top four and Milwaukee doesn't, ATL gets NO's pick and MIL keeps its own - If Milwaukee jumps into the top four and New Orleans doesn't, ATL gets MIL's pick and MIL gets NO's pick - If both New Orleans and Milwaukee jump into the top four, ATL gets the higher pick, which would be between No. 1 and No. 3, and MIL gets the lower pick, which would be between No. 2 and No. 4 The trades that netted each team these picks: Jun. 25, 2025: NO receives: - 2025 No. 13 ovr pick (Derik Queen) ATL receives: - 2025 No. 23 ovr pick (Asa Newell) - 2026 first-round pick (best of NO/MIL) Nov. 24, 2020: NO receives: - Steven Adams (from OKC) - Eric Bledsoe (from MIL) - 2024 No. 21 ovr (Yves Missi, swap from MIL) - 2025 No. 19 ovr (Nolan Traore) - 2026 first-round pick swap with MIL (later sent to ATL) - 2027 first-round pick (from MIL) MIL receives: - Jrue Holiday (from NO) - Sam Merrill Signing Rights (from NO) DEN receives: - R.J. Hampton Signing Rights (from MIL) OKC receives: - George Hill (from MIL) - Darius Miller (from NO) - Zylan Cheatham Signing Rights (from NO) - Josh Gray Signing Rights (from NO) - Kenrich Williams Signing Rights (from NO) - 2023 No. 37 ovr (Hunter Tyson, from NO) - 2024 No. 34 ovr (Tyler Kolek, from NO) - 2023 No. 27 ovr (Nick Smith Jr., from DEN)May 9, 2026

Successor for Doc?

What kind of coach do you want to replace Doc Rivers? Do you want the Bucks to pursue an established veteran, like Tom Thibodeau or Frank Vogel? Or would you rather Milwaukee goes for youth, like the Suns did with Jordan Ott or the Lakers with J.J. Redick? Could Minnesota's Micah Nori be an option for the Bucks?Apr 18, 2026

Is the investigation the last straw for Giannis?

It's clear Giannis wants to play basketball. The Bucks, for obvious reasons, do not want him to get injured and do not want to worsen their draft lottery odds with meaningless late-season wins. Is this the breaking point for the Giannis-Milwaukee relationship?Apr 6, 2026

Bucks officially eliminated from postseason contention

Thanks to a 32-point loss to the Spurs today, the Bucks will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16. Milwaukee is now 29-44 and on pace for its worst season since 2013-14, when the Bucks went 15-67 in Larry Drew's lone year at the helm. What a disaster of a season. Changes need to be made.Mar 28, 2026

Bucks beat the Pacers... does it matter?

The Bucks finally got a win today, beating the Pacers, 134-123, but it might be too little, too late to impact the season. Milwaukee is still 5.5 (!) games behind Charlotte for the No. 10 seed in the East with 15 games remaining. I find it highly unlikely that the Bucks, which have dropped eight of their last 10 games, will catch up to the Hornets, who have won seven of their last 10, before the Play-In Tournament starts. What a disaster of a season. I will be shocked if Doc remains the head coach this summer, even if Giannis doesn't get traded. I understand that he was put in a tough situation when he started, but it's been two years since then and the team has only gotten worse.  What other major changes are you looking forward to this summer?Mar 16, 2026

New sneaky Giannis trade candidate?

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chicago Bulls now have the highest odds to land Giannis Antetokounmpo in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. They went from +4000 entering Sunday to +310 by the end of the day. Which Bulls players would you want back in a trade for Giannis? In my opinion, Matas Buzelis and Noa Essengue have to be in the deal. Chicago would then also have to give up one of Josh Giddey, Coby White or Ayo Dosunmu, along with multiple draft picks. Is this the most desirable trade package the Bucks could receive? The sites encourage responsible gambling and provide resources for help.
