Opinion Discussion

Would you do this Norman Powell trade?
If you're Bryson Graham, do you accept this deal?
Last season, Scoot Henderson averaged 14.2 points, 3.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game on 41.8% FG and 35.2% 3P. In five playoff games, he increased his accuracy to 47.5% FG and 46.4% 3P.

Why Jalen Smith Should Start at Centre for the Chicago Bulls
Nic Claxton was brought in to be the Bulls' starting centre, so his hamstring injury wasn't part of the plan. But it could give Chicago an early look at a lineup that, in my opinion, makes more sense for the players they're building around.
I'd start Jalen Smith over Claxton, even when both are healthy.

What was your favorite dunk?
The Bulls were throwing it down during Friday's win over the Timberwolves!
Which one of these was your favorite?

My Early Favorite 2027 NBA Draft Fit For The Bulls
Braylon Mullins is a player I have discussed in this space before. Mullins was Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2025. A former McDonald's All-American who eventually committed to the UConn Huskies, Mullins struggled a bit throughout an up-and-down freshman year. His season had some tough lows and incredibly high highs.
Mullins averaged 12 PPG and shot an unimpressive 33.5% from 3-point range despite being a prospect regarded as an elite shooter. He did shoot 88.9% from the free throw line on a limited number of attempts, but more consistency from the 3-point line would've likely seen Mullins with higher stock heading into the 2026 NBA Draft.

What Does Noa Essengue Need To Do To Make The Bulls' Rotation?
Wreak havoc. It sounds a bit much, but Noa Essengue genuinely needs to be a disruptive force on defense to get Tiago Splitter's attention come the start of NBA preseason (Oct. 7 for Chicago).
It is possible that Essengue is already in the doghouse of his new coach, receiving up-and-down playing time over his stint in the NBA Summer League, averaging 6.5 PPG and 4.5 RPG while shooting 41.9% from the field and a concerning 54.5% on 11 total free throw attempts.

What Does Dailyn Swain Need To Do To Bounce Back?
It's quite simple, to bounce back to the best version of Dailyn Swain, he needs to focus on what got him to the NBA in the first place: getting downhill.
Of course, that is easier said than done when all eyes are on you in a new role in your first NBA Summer League action. The jitters of playing in a professional setting, a long with the big expectations lauded onto Swain and No. 4 overall pick Caleb Wilson clearly bothered Swain a bit during Summer league.

The Main Difference Between Billy Donovan and Tiago Splitter Will Be.....
Flexibility.
It is the thing Chicago Bulls fans wanted the most and--even as the President of the Billy Donovan Fan Club have to admit--got perhaps the least.

With training camp starting up, how will a Tiago Splitter team differ from a Billy Donovan team?
Billy Donovan did not have a winning record as the coach of the Chicago Bulls. After six seasons and a 226-256 record there was need for change. But that does not mean Donovan did not create an identity for his team who over the last two seasons became one of the NBA’s fastest offenses. The system was built around the arrival of Josh Giddey, the speed of Ayo Dosunmu and the three point shooting of Coby White.
Until Giddey arrived the offense had to make compromises with both DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine needing the ball. The result was a mid-range game, pick and roll offense that ranked near the bottom of the league in pace. But after the two stars left and Giddey arrived Donovan transitioned to something that copied what the Indiana Pacers were doing led by Tyrese Haliburton. The Bulls aimed to put a shot up within 14 seconds and suddenly the team was second in the league in pace.
