Former Chicago Bulls wing Dalen Terry was one of the most cheerful players on the team, so it was sad to see him go as part of the Bulls roster reconstruction at the NBA Trade Deadline.

Terry was dealt to the New York Knicks in a trade that netted the Bulls big man Guerschon Yabusele. But Terry did not get to settle into New York, as he was promptly flipped to the New Orleans Pelicans for Jose Alvarado. The Pelicans didn't see any need for Terry on their roster, and waived him, making him a free agent.

It seemed at his point, with the All-Star break fast approaching, Terry would have trouble finding a new home. However, things turned in Terry's favor as the Philadelphia 76ers reached out to him after freeing up a Two-Way roster spot. Philadelphia had just converted young and productive forward Dominick Barlow to a standard contract.

The Sixers added Terry on a Two-Way contract which will give Terry an honest chance at development as Two-Way contract players are given a maximum of 50 NBA games per season that they can be active for on top of being able to play for their franchise's G League affiliate (the Delaware Blue Coats in this case), but they are not eligible for the playoffs.
