The Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting the Atlanta Hawks in the first game of a home-road back-to-back series! I'll be live updating this page throughout the night.

The Cavs will be without Jaylon Tyson, Thomas Bryant, and Tristan Enaruna. The Hawks won't have Jock Landale.

Starters:

Hawks - Daniels, McCollum, Alexander-Walker, Johnson, Okongwu

Cavs - Harden, Mitchell, Wade, Mobley, Allen

FIRST QUARTER

Evan Mobley's getting a lot of handling duties early here. Nice drive and kick to James Harden to start out, then a nice Harden to Mobley connection down the floor for a hammer. Lot of touches for No. 4 as the Cavs take an 11-5 lead.

Sam Merrill in for Mobley as the first sub, then Max Strus in for Donovan Mitchell about five minutes in.

Dean Wade's got a couple of threes at the top of the perimeter already.

Keon Ellis checks in for Wade about midway through. There's eight Cavs to touch the floor now.

Cleveland up 21-16 eight minutes into the ballgame. Wine and Gold off to a hot start from long range and have seven made shots on six assists.

Jonathan Kuminga got to his spots there in the latter part of the quarter.

END 1Q: Cavs 33, Hawks 29

ATL: Johnson 6p, 3r, 1a. Kuminga 6p, 1r, 1a. Daniels 5p, 1r, 1a, stl.

CLE: Mobley 10p, 5r, 2a. Wade 6p, 1a. Harden 5p, 2r, 2a.

SECOND QUARTER

Dennis Schroder's starting the second period as the Cavs' ninth man. He's running with Mitchell, Ellis, Wade, and Mobley.

I liked that group for sure, even though Johnson and Kuminga are getting going.

Hawks are starting to get hot from distance. Five triples this quarter, with a couple from Gabe Vincent and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Cavs are all of a sudden down 62-54 now.

10-point quarter for Mitchell and he's got two buzzer-beaters already, but the Cavs' Achilles heel is showing once again... Atlanta is 54% from the field now and 9-of-18 from long range.

HALF: Hawks 67, Cavs 60

ATL: Kuminga 14p, 4r, 2a. Okongwu 11p, 4r. Alexander-Walker 11p, 1r, 1a. Johnson 8p, 6r, 5a, stl. Daniels 9p, 4r, 2a, stl. Vincent 9p.

CLE: Mobley 16p, 10r, 2a, 2blk. Mitchell 14p, 3r, 1a, blk. Allen 7p, 4r. Harden 7p, 2r, 2a.

THIRD QUARTER

Cavs open the third with a 13-3 run, and every look is going to Jarrett Allen. Free-throw attempts, inside finishes. Cleveland is putting pressure on that rim and getting the bigs involved.

Starting five is clicking like it did to begin the game (even though Merrill was in there for the last bit that Harden scored six points in 27 seconds). Cavs up 81-76 five minutes into the second half. Mitchell's got eight of his 22 here.

NAW is a heck of a player.

This was a Harden iso stretch that eventually led to opening up the floor for his teammates. Cavs are ahead 91-82 with three minutes left in the third.

Max Strus closes out an incredible quarter for Cleveland with a three from the left wing on a Mitchell feed. That's three tonight!

END 3Q: Cavs 104, Hawks 87

ATL: Okongwu 18p, 5r. Kuminga 17p, 5r, 2a. Alexander-Walker 15p, 2r, 2a, stl. Johnson 8p, 8r, 5a, stl. Vincent 10p, 1r, 1a.

CLE: Mitchell 27p, 4r, 4a, stl. Mobley 18p, 12r, 3a, 3blk. Harden 16p, 4r, 4a, 2stl. Allen 14p, 7r, stl. Wade 8p, 4r, 2a, blk, stl.

FOURTH QUARTER

Cavs start the final frame with Schroder, Mitchell, Ellis, Harden, and Mobley.

Cleveland leads it 110-98 with 8:11 remaining. Been a tough night shooting for CJ McCollum, but he just rattled a mid-range jumper home.

Hawks are on an 11-2 run behind McCollum and NAW, who has been GROOVING tonight. Cavs up 112-109 with 5:30 left. Donovan Mitchell set to come back in.

Harden gets Jalen Johnson to bite on an up fake at the top, and his night is donewith a foul out. Kuminga in to finish.

Cleveland closing this one with Merrill over Wade it appears.

Daniels fouls out as well with 1:13 remaining.
