The Cleveland Cavaliers are taking on the Utah Jazz at Rocket Arena! I'll be live updating this page throughout the night.

The Cavs will be without Dean Wade (left knee contusion), Luke Travers (two-way), Chris Livingston (two-way), and Max Strus. The Jazz will not have Walker Kessler and Georges Niang, as well as all three of their two-way players. Jusuf Nurkic and Ace Bailey are both available.

Starters:

Jazz - George, Mykhailiuk, Williams, Markkanen, Nurkic

Cavs - Garland, Mitchell, Merrill, Mobley, Allen

FIRST QUARTER

Ugly, ugly, ugly start to this game. A couple turnovers and the Jazz, also sloppy, have six free-throw attempts already. It's 12-2 Utah.

Cavs were not ready for the Jazz. They're trailing 21-4 about seven minutes into the quarter.

Craig Porter Jr., Jaylon Tyson, and De'Andre Hunter enter the game for Donovan Mitchell, Sam Merrill, and Evan Mobley.

Cleveland waking up a bit. Strung together some stops, got out on the run. Darius Garland has three steals already. Jarrett Allen's had quick hands, too. Cavs down 23-13 with 3:14 left in the quarter.

Sloppy quarter both ways. Cavs at least have made some aggressive mistakes. Utah just not taking care of it.

They're gonna be fine but if you start a game like that again this season, Cleveland won't get as lucky.

END 1Q: Jazz 34, Cavs 22

UTAH: Markkanen 6p, 5r, 1a, stl. George 5p, 3a, 1r. Mykhailiuk/Sensabaugh 5p, 1r, 1a. Nurkic 2p, 7r, stl.

CLE: Porter 5p, 2r. Allen 4p, 2r. Mitchell 5p, 1r. Garland 3p, 4a, 3stl.

SECOND QUARTER

Nae'Qwan Tomlin's in for the first time this game.

Merrill's holding his left hand after running into Svi Mykhailiuk.

Back-to-back Donovan Mitchell triples, one from the corner and one in transition above the break, cuts the Cavs' deficit to 41-34 about three minutes into the second.

Tomlin gave Cleveland terrific minutes in his shift. Not afraid to shoot or put it on the floor when he touched it. Nice pass in there as well.

Cleveland's retaken the lead. Utah's got 13 turnovers and the Cavs have 18 points off of them with three minutes until half.

Garland's looking more and more like himself physically every game.

Cavs went on a 26-8 run in the last 7:45 of quarter two. They're awake. Most encouragingly, Cleveland held an opponent to under 60 in the first half.

HALF: Cavs 62, Jazz 54

UTAH: Markkanen 16p, 7r, 1a. Nurkic 4p, 12r, 3stl. George 7p, 7a, 1r, stl. Mykhailiuk 5p, 2a, 1r. Collier 5p, 2a.

CLE: Garland 12p, 6a, 3stl. Mitchell 14p, 2r, stl. Tyson 9p, 3r, 2a, stl. Tomlin 9p, 1a. Mobley 2p, 5a, stl, blk. Porter 5p, 2r.

THIRD QUARTER

Jazz not going away just because they gave up a lead. Keyonte George is becoming a dude! And Lauri Markkanen, as we know, is a lot to handle. It's tied up at 70, only three minutes in.

Qwan's giving a heck of a boost tonight. We might be seeing him in the fourth at this rate.

Mobley's had a solid stretch in the third. He'll be on triple-double watch.

Can we talk about the body control Qwan had on a catch-and-drive to pass it to Mobley on the flush? Kevin Love even tried to take a charge, but it was a bullet feed and Tomlin didn't leave his feet..

END 3Q: Jazz 90, Cavs 86.

UTAH: Markkanen 23p, 8r, 2a. George 23p, 9a, 3r. Nurkic 7p, 13r, 3stl, 2a.

CLE: Mobley 13p, 8r, 6a, 2blk, 2stl. Garland 14p, 8a, 3stl, 1r. Mitchell 16p, 3r, stl. Tomlin 13p, 3a, 1r, stl. Tyson 9p, 4r, 2a, 2stl.

FOURTH QUARTER

The whole team owes Qwan a steak dinner if Cleveland wins this game. George is getting the Jazz close to a big win on the road. Cavs down 110-102 with 5:26 left in regulation.

Markkanen's just too dang good.

Jazz got Merrill in foul trouble down the stretch. It's looking like a slow death for the Cavs, trailing 116-106 with 3:16 remaining in the fourth.

Mitchell just doesn't have his jumper in the final frame as we've been accustomed to all year. This one's gonna go in the L column. Probably the most disappointing defeat since the Hornets game.
